Now that you’ve created your first book, the first thing to do is to set up your personalisation fields. This should be the answer to the question: “What do I want to enable people to customize in my book?”. Could be the name and gender of a child if it’s a book for children for example. Maybe their favourite pet, sport or season. Could be absolutely anything you want, you have complete freedom to create the fields that are required for your story.
When you’re ready, go ahead and press the plus button. This will create a new field and the first thing we need to type is its name. Because the personalisation fields are part of the interface customers see on the two worlds book store, we are prompted to type the name of this field in the main language of our book - in our case English, as well as all the other languages and additional localisations we’ve defined on the “Details” page. This is all optional and you only add multiple languages for your product if and when you want to.
Cool, now that you’ve named your field, you need to define its type. There are 5 different types to choose from and we’re going to cover each one in the next video.
